New and Used Porsche Cars
Porsche is one of the most popular and reognisable car manufacturers in the world and among the most luxurious. This is all according to a survey undertaken by the Luxury Institute of New York.
Among the well respected designs, starting from the companies' new and used Porsche Roadster, as well as the new & used Porsche Boxter (956) developed by Raymond Barth, the public fell in love with the this two door convertible design; open at the top and the backseat can be folded to make the front seats more stylish and sporty. Its first generation Porsche was created in 1996 and still continues to gain financial to the present day. Aside from the ever-famous Boxter, the company is also currently producing the 911 and several other models such as the new / used Porsche Cayman and sport utility vehicles (SUVs and the Cayenne).
The company was founded in 1931 by the Austro-Hungarian Engineer named Ferdinand Porsche, who happened to have designed the first Volkswagen car. Ferdinand Porsche remained one of the most influential men in the history of car design until his death on the 30th of January 1951.
Porsche has managed to maintain financial stability despite financial losses experienced by other businesses of its kind. Indeed, the company ranks number 1 in gaining profit for each Porsche unit sold to the public - more than any other luxury competitors in the history of the automobile business.
Porsche also enjoys the respect of its other contemporary car manufacturing industry in terms of car engineering consultation. For instance, several automobile makers, such as Daewoo, Subaru and Studebaker, requested consultancy with Porsche for the creation of their existing car designs and engines. AvtoVaz's (Russian Automobile manufacturer) Lada Samara was extensively researched and part of its engine and design was made by Porsche in the same way they supported Harley-Davidson to crate its existing V-Rod Model.
Porsche's rival Ferrari competes with design and price, too, although most critics claim that there are far cheaper used Porsche models with equal quality available compared to their Ferrari counterparts.
In the second hand marketplace, the used Porsche Boxter remains a popular choice as does the used Porsche 911 and used Porsche Carrera. All cars display the excellence of Porsche design and seem to retain their value well enough - even as a used Porsche vehicle. The fact is that regardless of age, Porsche vehicles are excellent auto's built to last, which is why buying a used Porsche is seen by many as a good buying choice. The fact that so many used Porsche Boxter's for example, are so popular on the UK roads, tells its own story.
