New and Used Peugeot Cars
Peugeot has long been a brand of quality and beauty for its new and used Peugeot cars. It originated in France during 1882 and has long been respected due to its marketable car brands with superior endurance, reliability and design regardless of whether they are new or used Peugeot products.
This company is one of the leading key players in the automobile industry and is only second in rank to Germany's Volkswagen in terms of annual sales.
Peugeot did not start as a car manufacturer though. They originally produced coffee grinders back when the Peugeot family started a small business in France. But, it was widely noted that the family had long been in the business industry since the 17th century and later ventured to raw car accessories including wire wheels, bicycle frames and other accessory parts. The company has since gone on to produce some of the most valuable and desirable new & used Peugeot auto's.
The company's car brand was widely received by the public along with critics and praised due to its elite designs. Among car enthusiasts, one will surely recognise the many used Peugeot car models introduced during the first quarter of the 20th century including the Peugeot Type 105, the Type 127 Torpedo of 1910, the 1920 new and now used Peugeot Phaeton and the Peugeot 301D (1935). The first car ever produced by Peugeot was steam-powered and had three wheels in 1889. The car combustion design at the time did not quite work out so well and so around four cars were manufactured. This attempt helped the company purchase licenses from Daimler, another German car manufacturing industry, to buy an internal combustion technology that would be used for building future new / used Peugeot models.
The company reached the peak of financial success in the 1970's. In 1974, it began purchasing Citroen's market shares after being able to take ownership of the company in 1975. The company also ventured into motorsport and has since created several race cars, including the Peugeot 206 brand driven by Juuso Pykalisto at the 2003 Swedish Rally. Similarly, the company gained international recognition when it joined and won the French Grand Prix at Dieppe in north-western France with Georges Boillot in 1921. Boillot used a car powered by a straight 4 engine, which was the revolutionary 4 cylinder internal combustion system ever to be installed in a cars motor engine. The French Grand Prix invited and used Peugeot to display their engine performance in the 206 and they certainly did this.
In the history of the car making industry, Peugeot is the first car manufacturing company that ever produced the standard HDi Diesel engine that enhances fuel efficiency and cuts harmful emissions in half. They did this by building the Peugeot 607, which has gone on to become an ever popular used Peugeot model in the second hand car market.
The fact that many used Peugeot sales are still being undertaken clearly displays the perception of the Peugeot brand from buyers. Also, as many used Peugeot cars are still so popular, it goes to show just what a good investment a used Peugeot is in terms of long lasting reliability.
