These are UMW Corporation Sdn Bhd, which owns 38%, Daihatsu Motor Co. Ltd, which holds 20%, MBM Resources Bhd, which also holds 20%, PNB Equity Resources Corporation Sdn Bhd, which holds 10% and Mitsui & Co. Ltd and Daihatsu Sdn Bhd holding 7% and 5%, respectively.

Its corporate mission is to become a world-class automotive company for new and used Perodua cars that has the reputation for reliability and excellent quality. Perodua aims to achieve this by maintaining professionalism in its operations, by practicing efficiency in terms of utilising resources and technologies, exhibiting resilience in dealing with automotive challenges, optimising benefits for customers and stakeholders, exhibiting dedication towards social responsibility with a prime focus on the environment, the community, and the workforce, by incorporating uniqueness in its products and services, and by glorifying the name of the company.

Operations started back in 1994 at the Perodua headquarters based in Sungai Choh, Ehsan. This 81 hectare area holds the Perodua corporate headquarters, the research and development laboratories, the styling studio, engine plant, manufacturing plant, used Perodua vehicle test track, parts warehouse, new & used Perodua vehicle distribution stockyard and pre-delivery inspection area.

PCSB or Perodua Auto Corporation Sdn Bhd was founded during the latter portion of 2001. Other partners were Mitsui & Co. Ltd. and Daihatsu Motor Co. Ltd. PSCB managed the Perodua Group's manufacturing operations and the business is also subdivided into 3 active entities - Sales, Manufacturing and Engine Manufacturing.

The company gives much importance to research and development, with focus on new and used Perodua design engineering, basic testing, styling engineering and manufacturing engineering. Concept new and used Perodua car development, styling and modeling are all needed when implementing major facelifts in their existing new and used Perodua models. Certain activities have also improved the automotive enterprise's standing in the market. These efforts include the in-house localisation of press parts, engine parts, third party vendors, SMI and joint venture operations.

To date, the total number of people comprising Perodua's manpower is more than 10,000, with 140 new & used Perodua dealers operating 39 sales branches, 41 service branches and 120 service outlets based in Malaysia.
