New and Used Mitsubishi Cars
Mitsubishi has been manufacturing new and used Mitsubishi automobiles from as early as 1917 with the Model A being its first car. They did stop this manufacturing though and came back after World War II. A large part of Mitsubishi producing new / used Mitsubishi cars is their devotion to Motor Sports.
The Mitsubishi Lancer 1600 GSR, also known as Colt Lancer 1600 GSR, is among the many cars specifically designed for racing. The Lancer 1600 GSR is so good that it won the very first race it joined. The Lancer 1600 GSR is the stronger version of the Lancer sedan in terms of engine strength and performance. The many successes in the toughest car racing competition of the world, the Safari Rally of Kenya, made the used Mitsubishi Lancer 1600 GSR known as the "King of Cars" in Africa.
The Lancer 1600 GSR is the successor of the used Mitsubishi Gallant. It was in production from 1973 to 1977. It is a two door vehicle with a 4G32, 1597 engine. It has a 5 speed manual transmission and a fuel capacity of 50 litres (or 11 gallons). The Lancer 1600 GSR has 5 bearings, 0.89 bore-stroke ratios, 9.5 compression rating and two ST Carbs fuel system. It has a catalytic converter and it uses water as a coolant. Therefore, all in all it has everything that a racing car should have! The engine is located at the front, which is aligned lengthwise. A re-circulating ball is employed in the steering wheel, allowing for ultimate control.
More car models came after the used Mitsubishi Lancer 1600 GSR. One of them is the 2005 used Mitsubishi Eclipse Coupe GT. Just like the Lancer 1600 GSR, the Eclipse Coupe GT is also a strong car. It is actually also a two door car with a fuel capacity of 67 litres (or around 17 gallons). The ground clearance of the chassis is just 148 mm. visualising this vehicle, one would definitely say it is a low rise car, which is very suitable for auto racing. Aerodynamics was really scrutinised before the 2005 used Mitsubishi Eclipse Coupe GT was incepted. This car has a drag coefficient of 0.35. In layman's term, this means that it like being able to move like domestic vacuum.
The engine of the 2005 used Mitsubishi Eclipse Coupe GT has a displacement of 3828 cc and positioned in transverse alignment, a compression rating of 10.5, bore-stroke ratio of 1.05 and it also has a catalytic converter. The engine is located at the front just like the Lancer 1600 GSR and it is front wheel drive. Brake diameter is 294/284 mm and its braked area is 2528. It has a 6 gear manual transmission and a top gear ration of 0.79.
In the used Mitsubishi car marketplace, the used Mitsubishi Colt is quite popular today as is the used Mitsubishi Lancer, which is famous worldwide.
