New and Used Lexus Cars
The year 1983, a time when Toyota was already an established car maker, was the birth year of a new luxury car that was destined to go head to head with the world's finest. Lexus was the brainchild of the then Toyota Chairman Eiji Toyoda.
His dream was to manufacture a car that would not only pursue the path of other established luxury cars, but also pursue the path to perfection.
And Toyota did it. In fact, it did not just chase the path to perfection; it reached the mark of success when it became the highest selling luxury car manufacturer in the United States. The 2005 launching of the Lexus marquee in Japan is the latest milestone in the continuing expansion of the Lexus brand for their new and used Lexus cars. In fact, new / used Lexus cars are now running literally everywhere in the world. The companies' impact is so wide that the 2002 science fiction film "Minority Report" used Lexus as a prominent feature.
In 2008, both brand new & used Lexus cars are still selling at a high rate. The most expensive in the market is the 2008 new / used Lexus LX 570. Although, Lexus is popular for its sedans, this hybrid car is its freshest pride by far. It can accommodate eight passengers, which is not bad for a sports utility vehicle. Its V8 5.7 litre 383 horsepower engine can reach 12 to 18 miles per gallon. The used Lexus LX 570 version is particularly popular in the marketplace.
The new and used Lexus SC 430 is a four passenger convertible. It is powered by a V8 4.3 litre, 288 horsepower engine, which can reach up to 16 to 23 miles per gallon. Reviewers give it a thumbs-up for its outstanding sound system, smooth engine operation, reliable roof retraction, style and even the price.
If you are into luxury sedans, why not go for the 2008 newly used Lexus LS 600h? This four door vehicle can carry five passengers. With a 438 horsepower engine, the Lexus LS 600h's maximum mileage is 22 mpg on the motorway and 20 mpg in the city. What users do love about this car is that it is very quiet and offers a smooth drive.
The cheapest in the 2008 fleet is the Lexus ES 350, another sedan. It has a V6 3.5 litre, 272 hp engine and can reach 19-27 mpg. Like its LS 600h sibling, this model is very quiet. The interior is also a big plus.
Overall, the 2008 fleet of new & used Lexus sedans, SUVs, and convertibles are near perfect machines. Interestingly, the word Lexus supposedly comes from the words luxury and elegance. Although Toyota does not claim the meaning, users can attest how luxurious and elegant it is to ride in a new or used Lexus car.
In the second hand market, used Lexus cars are popular enough and many used Lexus vehicles can be seen on the nation's roads.
