Jeep is the oldest brand among sport utility vehicles (SUVs). First to appear was the prototype Bantam BRC, serving the U.S. Army and allies during the WW II and post war period. The Bantam went through several refinement, resulting in the Willy's' MA where over 1,500 units were shipped to the Army in 1941.

Later, the first Jeep vehicle, the used Jeep MB, a much improved update, was mass produced. The CJ, a much modified version of the MB, was astoundingly popular and continued to evolve until the 1980's. This led to an excellence in new / used Jeep car production.

The year 2001 marked the 60th year of Jeep. To mark the anniversary, the new editions of the used Jeep Wrangler, used Jeep Cherokee and the used Jeep Grand Cherokee were launched. It was also in 2001 when the old used Jeep Dakar and the 'Jeepster' were merged into one; the new Jeep Cherokee.
