New and Used Honda Cars
Just recently (at the time of writing), the new and used Honda Civic has supplanted the Ford F-150 as the best-selling vehicle in the US while the new and used Honda Accord made the top five. Honda Motor Company, the 5th largest in the industry as well as the largest engine manufacturer in the world, is headquartered in Tokyo Japan.
The success of Honda in the market for both new and used Honda cars can be attributed partly to the dedication of its staff to produce the best and its unparalleled engineering abilities. In fact, used Honda vehicles have a reputation for being "as good as new" in terms of engine performance. But the company has certainly profited from the erratic behaviour of fuel prices, which have sent many car owners searching for smaller and fuel economy cars. Compared to the European and American automakers that have at least a century of experience behind them, Honda can be considered a veritable newcomer. However, it still does have production plants in most continents and in various countries.
The Honda Accord debuted in 1976 as a compact hatchback, but eventually evolved into an intermediate vehicle. In 1982, the Accord started production in the United States and within 20 years became the largest selling new and used Honda / Japanese car in the US where it sold more than 10 million units. The newest version of the Accord, the Accord 2008 has moved towards a more upscale design and bigger size but retained its compact classification from its predecessor, which is still available in the second hand / used Honda marketplace. The move was to align the Accord's specifications to its customers worldwide.
The Honda Civic is a compact car introduced in 1972 as a two door coupe. The Civic steadily gained a firm foothold in the new/ used Honda market because of its reputation as a reliable, fuel efficient and environmentally friendly car. Later versions were noted for excellent road performance and sporty designs. The current model of the Civic offers more luxurious features, such as a six speed manual transmission, a satellite assisted navigational fix, power locks, optional leather upholstery plus many others. Used Honda Civic cars are still available at bargain prices. With the ongoing fuel crisis prompting many car owners to opt for fuel economy cars, the Civic has become the largest selling car in the US.
Another Honda that has gained headway in the market is the CRV. The CR-V, Honda's first SUV, was first introduced in Japan during 1996. In 1997, after a highly encouraging appearance at a Chicago motor show, the CR-V found itself in the United States. Since then, the CR-V has been outpacing other Japanese cars of the same make in the US market and has gained many accolades from experts and customers. The Used Honda CR-V continues the cars legacy within the second hand car market.
There are other new & used Honda cars worthy of note such as the Honda Acura, which has been achieving strong sales worldwide in both the brand new and the used Honda car markets. Definitely, the Honda corporate slogan "Power Your Dreams" has been making the right connections.
