New and Used Ford Cars
Ford was founded in 1903 by Henry Ford who was only 40 years old. That was more than a century ago but what is more remarkable is that the Ford Motor Company was one of the few companies that survived the great depression of the 1930's.
Today, Ford is the maker of the most beloved of new and used Ford American cars and other brands including such notables as Jaguar and Land Rover of the UK, Lincoln and the Mercury of the US and Volvo of Sweden. It also has a one third interest in the Japanese automaker Mazda. Their main interest though is the production of new Ford and Used Ford vehicles.
The most popular new/used Ford car is the Mustang convertible. Introduced in 1964, the Mustang has sold more than 9 million units and decidedly has carved an important place in the American auto making history. It also continues to do so with its newest version of the GT 500. However, the older, used Ford Mustang is still a desired vehicle.
The Mustang is known for its legendary performance and attention-getting designs. The only one left among the original American pony cars, the Mustang has enjoyed an uninterrupted production since its initial introduction to the market. It has attained an iconic status, which helps in maintaining its tight hold among its large and loyal following who consider their summer driving experience incomplete without their new, nearly new or used Ford Mustang convertible.
The Ford Motor company has produced the largest line of new and used Ford cars in the history of automobile manufacturing. In fact, it has produced many great mustang coupe convertibles, making the mustang the symbol of its continuing strong presence in the world car market. The older Mustang models are collectors' items. Most revered are the mid-60's to the '70 used Ford Shelby, the 1969 and 1970 used Ford Boss 429, 302 and the 1969 to 1970 used Ford Mach l. What is amazing is that even the newer generations are also considered collectors' items, specially the turbo charged used Ford SVOs of 1984-'86, 2000 and 2003 used Ford Cobra R and the super charged 2004 used Ford SVT Cobra. Although, Mustangs themselves may not have the best features, customers who are seeking style and power in a rear wheel drive coupe, a convertible or fastback have always preferred them over other car models.
Never one to be fazed by the intense competition that resulted from the ongoing energy crunch, the Ford Company has come up with the latest version of the GT 500 Mustang, which is counted as the best ever in terms of refinement, performance and everyday functionality. The Ford Mustang, the longest surviving brand of the American muscle cars is here to stay and picking up a used Ford Mustang is coveted by many collectors.
