New and Used Ferrari Cars
Enzo Ferrari founded the now used Ferrari Scuderia in 1929 primarily to sponsor amateur race drivers. In its long history, the Ferrari concentrated more on manufacturing racing cars and on actual racing than putting consumer new / used Ferrari cars on the road.
Whatever profit Ferrari earned by doing so was largely funnelled into producing faster and more competitive race cars. The Ferrari has been a part of the Fiat Group since 1969 when the latter acquired 50% stake. By 1988, Ferrari was 90% owned by Fiat, but Ferrari has always been given free rein on managing its internal affairs.
Ferrari has been a dominant force in auto racing. From 1949 to 1972, new and used Ferrari race cars have won the Le Mans and World Sports car Championship more times than any other racing team. During the early years of the World Championship, Ferrari won 7 out of 9 years and proceeded to post other winning streaks, which pretty much suggested the lofty level of Ferrari's auto engineering expertise.
Leaving the racing circuit in 1972, Ferrari concentrated on the Formula 1, joining the circuit in 1951, during the first year of its existence. So far, Ferrari has won many championships and is continues to grow from strength to strength.
To finance its auto racing and Formula 1 programs, Ferrari, from time to time, manufactures road cars, which many customers buy for prestige (used Ferrari cars bought as collectible also) as well as for its unparalleled performance. It is a small but relevant market. Ferrari integrates its Formula 1 and sports car racing technology into its new and used Ferrari road cars - touring and sports, which make prices quite prohibitive. Some models are not even given to customers. They are maintained by Ferrari, but are available to owners whenever they feel the need for an exhilarating drive.
The stability of new or used Ferrari road cars consists of sports cars and the 2 seated touring or new and used Ferrari Gran Turismo vehicles. The latter provides Ferrari the bulk of its car sales. The latest Ferrari Turismo car is the Ferrari GTB Fiorano, a high tech auto that attains speed in excess of 330 Kph. It is the most powerful Ferrari road car in existence. To test its durability, the 599 has been publicly crash tested on a number of occasions and made to undergo a 26 country trip. The Evo Magazine named it the 2006 Car of the Year.
Ferrari is a status symbol and the prestige of driving even though it may well cost a pretty penny. However, the company will always ensure that the brand of excellence that it brings to the automobile industry will last for a very long time via its excellent new and used Ferrari models.
For those fortunate enough, a new Ferrari purchase is a wonderful opportunity. However, the next best thing is a used Ferrari bought with as low miles as possible. The used Ferrari market, like other classic car brands, is growing in the UK especially as Ferrari is not known for releasing many new models to the public. Therefore, to keep the brand in public view, used Ferrari buying is more likely to the average car buyer. However, even a second hand, used Ferrari will have an impact on finance. Then again, you pat for what you get.
