New and Used Alfa Romeo Cars
Italy has become home to several world-renowned vehicle manufacturers. The onset of the 20th century had seen how the country flourished with the necessary technology for car production. In 1910, one of the oldest car brands started mass production and marketing.
Alfa Romeo is a car name that has up to this date, maintained its symbol of revolutionary car traditions and continues to make waves in the market for both new and used Alfa Romeo cars.
The word ALFA in the name initially stood for Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobil, which when translated into English reads Lombard Automobile Factory. The first independently assembled car by the company was rolled out to the market in 1910. The first Alfa Romeo car was a 24 hp vehicle. After that, Alfa Romeo ventured to produce car and motor racing automobiles, which further marked the company's capability to come up with quality and high standard vehicles.
Decades later in the 1960's the name Alfa Romeo shot up with its small car models that were specifically favoured by the Italian police. Panthers, Giulia Super and Carabinien were models from Alfa that were used as police patrol cars for their efficiency, effectiveness and reliability. In fact, both new and used Alfa Romeo cars were used.
The 1990's was a boom decade for Alfa Romeo in terms of car manufacturing and sales for both their new and used Alfa Romeo car range. During this period, the car maker developed and launched the 155, 145, 146 and new Spider cars. In 1997, the company made and marketed the Alfa Romeo 156, which was unanimously hailed as the 'Car of the Year' in 1998. That year, the 166 was launched, which augured Alfa Romeo into the 21st century. The car model's successor, the 147 was in fact named 'Car of the Year' for 2001 yet the now used Alfa Romeo 166 was still ever popular.
To date, Alfa Romeo is selling seven different car models, which are mostly small and compact cars. The models being offered are the 147, 159, GT, Brera, Spider, 8C Competizione and the MiTo. The company even has a line up of what it is going to launch in the near term. Such proposed car models include the 149, 169 and C Crossover. For new and used Alfa Romeo cars, from those listed above a decent variation of car types is certainly available. In today's market used Alfa Romeo cars are popular and new models are constantly being designed at production stage.
From the beginning, Alfa Romeo has prided itself as being the vehicle manufacturer with cutting edge technology and design. The company's car models have always been known to lead the track and strategically open the road. With the brand's superior engines, suspension, gearboxes, braking systems and passive and active safety features, Alfa Romeo has been the apparent leader in superior car manufacturing. Excellence and innovation have been a tradition in the design and development of all new and used Alfa Romeo cars.
